William, Just reverse the mounting of the lift strut. You mount the cyl. to the fuselage near the top of the fuselage door opening and mount the cyl to the door about 9" down the door (from the top).

Tim, I replaced the 2" angled piece with an aluminum tube with a 2" thin wall O.D. Cut it to match the angle required to mate up with the filler and made it about 1/2" short at both ends. I then used

Bruce, Any thin aluminum tubing works fine. The thinner the better as it all counts up in weight. You can get some tubing from Aircraft Spruce or your local aluminum welding shop. Just get about 18"
