Just about to set the throttle using Tlr46.exe software. Understand that this gets done with TCU powered up but engine not running. If I run the engine will the 'Montor' menu of the software give me
Bob From the screen shots of the software in the heavy maintenance manual there appears to be both % power and rpm. Also the signal for my Rotax tacho is an output from the TCU. Paul
Some time ago I posted a query about the nonsense readings of our Rotax tacho. Have now got the TCU rpm output to compare. When idle (TCU about 1500rpm) rotax tacho not too far off (about 1700). When
we have just run the engine up (914) for the third time. After about 5 min there was oil dripping from the right hand airbox drain and the air filter is soaked in oil. There is no apparent leak from
Many thanks to those who replied re Rotax tacho - 200 ohm resister worked a treat. Just put it across the terminals of the tacho rather than the coils as pictured in the Rotax owners 'fix' document.

Jim , Franz Thanks for the replies. Jim what I'm trying to find out is if there is a difference between the pressure in the fuel line between fuel pump and regulator (where I'm currently measuring it
Have just rigged up my MAP gauge to monitor the regulator pressure (airbox side) and pressurised to 40 inches using bicycle pump. When I then run the fuel pump the regulator makes such alarming grind
Can anyone tell me why rotax swapped from parallel to series arrangement for the 914 fuel pumps . Also is it mandatory in the UK to have them in series. Regards Paul G-GIDY
Frans I know you have had reassuring responses to this - I asked the very same question of Conrad Beal (UK Rotax service centre) when he came up to our 914 recently. He confirmed others view that thi
