Mod 46 has been raised because two instances have been found of failure of the end caps fitted into the pitch torque tube. The Mod has nothing to do with the bearings to which this torque tube is fit

Dear all The tap required is 5mm x 0.8 thread pitch. This is used to tap the small tang on the doors to accept the gas strut fixing ball end thingy. Regards Andy
