The markings would be helpful, as so would the name/type of sealant that you used when you re-installed the hose. No 'scent' problems to expect with the lower hoses leading to/from the tank? Thanks C

All I will say this. (I am sure others are thinking it) If a smell of gas is present, look for the problem at the connections. It is much more likely that the fitting are the source of the "leakage"

It is amazing how nasty auto fuel smells compared to 100LL. I can dribble fuel down my wrist while preflighting the 152, and the smell goes away in a few minutes after the fuel evaporates. Conversely

Hi Tom, My Europa has been stinking of fuel for 4 years now. I identified the problem as the filler hose quite quickly and Europa sent me a new hose some years ago. It was just as bad as the old one!
