- Come to NZ, we don't have leaded gas available (other than Avgas). Everyone runs their 912's and 914's on 91 unleaded (at GBP 24p a litre) without any problems. Tony

- Here in the UK we are due to be all unleaded by 1st Jan 2000. That might put a cat amongst the pigeons. Current unleaded price is around 65p to 70p litre. Perhaps we should all move to NZ. Dave Watt

- Nigel, CAA's main concern is quality control. They claim, amongst other things, that airfield bowser fuel is subject to stringent quality control which garage fuel is not. It is the Bombardier Rotax

- It isn't only 912's that suffer from that, the C152 that I was "given" for my test pilot examination had incredibly fouled plugs - and divergent pitch!! Divergent pitch makes for _very_ interesting
