Its the underside of the tailplane thats important from the point of view of drag minimisation. In which case its quite easy to just allow for a small drain hole rather than anything larger. But that

I intend following fellow Aussie Barry Wrenford in using tubes only large enough to carry the pip pins minus the split rings. This keeps the holes small and easy to cover with tape as per Ben Clerx's
