The factory used the plastic report cover strips you mentioned above, but I couldn't see how to avoid the plastic add on look so I opted for the triangular balsa method. This was really easy to do a

The cover report strips are still lacking the depth unless I can find another source with bigger ones. I do still believe they work OK as Kim Prout had them fitted to his and well as Barry Tennant. O

I also had to do the Flettner Srips after paint...However I found plastic profiles half round shaped 6mm diameter and 6 mm high. Those profiles are used to decorate picture frames and as a finishing

I do hope the Flettner strips are included in the XS plans. If not Y KNOT?????????? It would not be wise to fly without them. You will have some degree of pitch oscillation under certain conditions.

Use of plastic "slide binders" (for reports) turned up at some time They fit neatly over the edge for expoxying on. They come with rounded or squared backs , the latter being preferred. Very durable,
