Rick, Keep in mind that the hinge will be following the curve(s) of the cowl, this has the effect of making the gaps where the hinge halves mate together smaller, you will need to file a small taper

One way is to file a taper on the end of the hinge pin, oil it well and dri ll it in carefully after you get it started. (ie put the other end in a dri ll)=0AGraham=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A____________________

Jim=0Awhy don't you put release wax on the other hinge half and the pin, as semble the hinge, then flox it on? That way you shouldn't need any filing. =0AIn fact I might suiggest clecoing both halves
