STEVE, THE I-BEAM FITS OVER THE CHANNEL ON THE TRAILER THAT THE TAILWHEEL RIDES IN,THE 4" PIP PIN GOES THRU BOTH OF THESE AND TENSION FROM THE WINCH KEEPS IT ALL SECURE. HOPE THIS HELPS, SAM N77EU

You should have at least a half inch clearance or more (vibration & heat),you don't want the header to contact the cowl at any point. Sam N77EU with a 914
