Thanks Ferg - yes the original part is a bit flimsy and I guess quite a few small mods have been put together to cover the lack of spares. I will do something along the lines you suggest. Patrick

Jeff - I have looked at your tie down solution and quite like it. I am going to do something like that but maybe, as you suggest, with only fixing ring protruding from the bottom of the flap fairing.
